Feature Works is a tool available in SOLIDWORKS that allows to import 3D CAD models from STEP, STL and other below mentioned file Extensions convert them into SOLIDWORKS features. This feature recognition technology identifies the individual features used to create a model and translates them into SOLIDWORKS features that can be edited and modified.
How to Use SolidWorks FeatureWorks:
Using FeatureWorks is straightforward and user-friendly:
- Import External Model: Open SolidWorks and navigate to File > Open. Select the appropriate file format and import the external model into your workspace.
- Run FeatureWorks: After importing the model, go to Insert > FeatureWorks
